We're looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and lead the financial strategy of a growing and ambitious organization operating in São Tomé and Príncipe and Portugal. This is a high-impact role with broad responsibility across financial management, strategic planning, budgeting, treasury, compliance, and institutional relations. As CFO, you’ll play a central role in shaping the financial health and long-term growth of the company, while ensuring operational excellence and the highest standards of corporate governance. What will the focus be? Lead all accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, tax, and financial control activities Design and oversee financing structures and investment strategies Develop robust financial models and support project financing decisions Ensure full compliance with legal, tax, and governance requirements Guide internal audits and external reporting Support strategic decision making with clear and accurate financial data Manage institutional and supplier relationships in both São Tomé and Príncipe and Portugal Lead and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability Prepare consolidated financial statements for presentation to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders Key objetives: Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting for strategic decisions Maintain strict budget control and promote financial discipline Optimize costs and improve profitability Ensure legal compliance and mitigate financial risks Who We’re Looking For: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or Tax Minimum 5 years of experience in financial leadership, ideally in a group or shared services environment Solid knowledge of IFRS and experience with ERPs (Primavera, MS Dynamics preferred) Fluent in Portuguese and English (additional languages are a plus) Experience in hospitality or agribusiness is highly valued Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and high integrity Comfortable working independently and managing cross-functional teams Willingness to travel when required Ready to lead the financial future of a dynamic and purpose-driven organization?
